Samuel Kirk died at his home in Toronto after a lengthy illness. He led Georgetown Floral Company with Donald McIntyre for about twenty years and was active in town affairs. He served on the high school board, held lodge and church positions, studied at Guelph, and oversaw Park Lawn Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Margaret Macdonald and a son in Toronto, with a sister and five brothers in England. A daughter Kathleen predeceased him.

Widow Mrs Campbell Dies At 82 In Georgetown
Mrs William Campbell a Georgetown resident of 35 years died at her home on Queen Street after a long illness. Funeral services were held at McClure Funeral Home with Rev Alex Calder. interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery Norval. She leaves her husband four daughters and many grandchildren plus two brothers in Western Canada. She was born in Esquesing Township and attended Whaley's Corners School. Her married life spanned 55 years on a Norval farm before settling in Georgetown. She belonged to Knox Presbyterian Church and church societies.
