Walter Wrigglesworth a Ashgrove district resident moved to Guelph twenty years ago died of a heart attack Monday October 31 at his daughter's home in Guelph. He was buried last Thursday at Ashgrove Cemetery. He leaves daughters Correne Strome and Winnifred Norrish and a son in Guelph with brothers Frank Terra Cotta and Harold Toronto. The service was conducted with pallbearers.

Mission preacher to India to speak at Norval Sunday
The Presbyterian Union and Norval congregations will host a special Sunday afternoon service featuring Rev. Russell Self of Toronto. This will be his last Canadian sermon before he sails from Montreal next Friday to join the central India mission at Jansi for seven years. He is a Western Ontario and Knox College alumnus, with recent ministry in Toronto and prior work in Vernon and the Okanagan Valley.

The ceremony at St George s Church of England on Saturday November 3 joined Blair Dewhurst and Alfred Leonard Thompson in marriage. Archdeacon W G O Thompson officiated with Mrs W F Bradley at the organ and Mrs Leslie Tomlinson singing during the register signing. The bride wore white satin with a basque mandarin collar and a short train, and carried pink delight roses. Attendants included matron of honour Mrs Harvey Dewhurst in rose taffeta and bridesmaid Mrs Dorothy Lemon in mist blue. Best man was Arthur Thompson. ushers were Harvey Dewhurst and Ralph Thompson. A reception followed at Oddfellows Hall with corsages and gifts exchanged. The couple plan to reside in Cheltenham with guests from Toronto to Shelburne.

Two Fire Calls No Loss Reported This Week
The fire brigade answered two calls this week with no loss reported. Monday noon a small fire started in a clothes closet at the home of Harold Scott on Church Street. Tuesday afternoon firefighters tackled a blaze in a rubbish pile beside the Georgetown Feed Mill. Mrs. J Caseley recovering well after last Wednesday operation at Toronto Wellesley Hospital.

Ratepayers Clash Over New Water Plan in Georgetown
