Scott Rosendale, 26, employed by J. J. Thompson, was found hanging in a partially used barn on the 6th line after the Thompson barn fire. No inquest will be held. the body was to be taken to Alliston for burial with funeral from his mother's home in Lyle. Provincial police, coroner Dr. G. E. Syer, and officers G. Cookman and A. Oliver investigated the case. six local youths aided in saving livestock during the blaze.

Dolson Golden Wedding Anniversary Noted in Peel County
Mr and Mrs Aiken Dolson mark fifty years of marriage with a celebration at their Chinguacousy home attended by about 200 visitors from Peel County and surrounding areas. Guests included Miss Mary Lawson and the late J L Clark’s family. gifts featured a brides cake of ice cream and floral tributes from local organizations. Dolson, born on Peel County land, is a noted agricultural and dairy figure, with a daughter Mrs Lorne Cleaves and son William Harold Dolson.

Sam Walker Loses Brother in Bombing Raid
German bombers struck Georgetown last week killing Sam Walker’s brother John in his Croydon home. The 67 year old contractor’s family includes Edith Louise and Ted, six brothers and a sister. A daughter was away in Brighton and survived. George, a former Georgetown resident, lives in Los Angeles.
