Funeral for Mrs. Donald Adams Held in Burks Falls
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Majnery attended the funeral of his sister Mrs. Donald Adams in Burks Falls on Monday May 27. Adams aged 38 had been ill two years and died at New Liskeard General Hospital. She is survived by her husband an1d daughter Donna and several brothers and sisters. Interment was in the Dake Cemetery.

Georgetown duo graduates at Western Convocation Day
On Convocation Day at the University of Western Ontario in London Georgetown was represented by Miss Mary Bell and Harold Henry, who earned university degrees. Miss Bell, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Bell of 79 Main St S, received a Bachelor of Science and began a librarian position with Imperial Oil in Sarnia. Harold Henry, succeeding the late Howard Wrigglesworth, became principal of Chapel Street Public School and, since last September, principal of Harrison Public School, after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.

The Georgetown soccer team earned a 1 1 draw with the Brantford Ex Imperial s at Lions Park Brantford last Saturday their first point in three starts. H Koch and Jimmy Crichton combined for Georgetown s opening goal before Brantford answered ten minutes before half time Vic Robins made key saves for the Ex Imperials to preserve the tie.
