Prominent Limehouse Resident Dies After Stroke
Mrs. John W. Nickell a Limehouse resident died at home on May 12 after a weeklong stroke. Born Annie Grieve in Georgetown, she married 51 years ago and lived on a Limehouse farm. She served as Limehouse Church organist 28 years and earlier accompanied her husband’s fiddle. Surviving husband Rev. C. C. Cochrane. interment Limehouse Cemetery. Pallbearers include grandsons Jack Nickell and Jarvis Wilmer and four nephews. Many relatives from Ontario and Michigan attended.

No Tenders For Sewage Disposal Plant
At a special meeting on Tuesday May 7 the council received no tenders for the sewage disposal plant and laid the matter over for further consideration. Keystone Construction Co canceled its prior tender of 177992.04 for sewers only, the lowest of three bids. After discussion on salaries a 5 percent increase was approved for town employees.
