Glenwilliams Dance Draws Large Crowd and Local Notices

A large Friday crowd enjoyed McKinley Bros. gapper at Glenwilliams dance. Local reports mention trout fishing at Catedon Mountain, a mail contract from Georgetown to Glen Williams, and a Mother’s Day service at Glen Methodist Church on May 9. Pupils from Georgetown and Glen schools performed music with praise for Miss McMasters and Mr Frank McDonald.

Successful Carnival Draws Big Crowds in Town Hall

The Fancy Carnival and Fair, five days at the town hall under Holy Cross Church, drew large crowds. Improvements Planned for Suburban Station Grounds

The newly formed Horticultural Society aims to beautify the Suburban station area this spring with a fill for the ditch and a green lawn. Superintendent Radford backs the effort with the Chamber of Commerce, while residents are urged to donate coal ashes or earth. The Minstrels may add a drinking fountain, and evergreens plus lilacs will replace the unsightly back bank. Geo Wringlesworth and B O Cowles lead the project with local cooperation sought.
