Halton Spring Assizes will open Monday March 29 at the Milton Court House before Chief Justice Meredith. Milton resident Mr Jackson Agnew died at Hamilton Hospital after an inward trouble. Edith Livingstone Patterson and Lawrence Fawcett Sharpe announce their engagement. An appeal by Louis Bracci Oakville was dismissed. Bracci jailed for selling liquor with fines and jail terms.
Paisley resident Mr Norman McGregor visited his aunt Mr William Taylor on Brock Avenue. Mr John Leishman sought treatment at St Josephs Hospital in Guelph for varicose veins last week. Mr and Mex J C Russell of Georgetown visited Mr and Mrs Fred Cooper on Queen Street Monday. Miss Thelma Craig principal of the High School fell ill Tuesday with suspected appendicitis and rests hoping to avoid surgery. Emerson Andersons little lad injured at school remains in bed but improving. The open rink season has closed due to heat. residents hope for a covering arena soon. W R E Blair contractor has begun work on the Soper building and will convert the upstairs of the former H W Hinton premises into living quarters with modern amenities plus further improvements.
