After a long illness, Harry Savage died at 81 in Brampton where he had lived with the Smiths on Factory Street. Born in England he came to Canada 43 years ago, worked for the Dale Estate in Brampton until retirement, and was active in the Old Countrymen's Club. Survived by sister Mrs. Clevely of Cheltenham England. Rev C A Johnson led services with burial at Brampton Cemetery.

Last Glen Williams Family Member Dies in Toronto
Mrs. Norman Ainley formerly Clara Sykes died at her Toronto home on Saturday June 25 in her 1st year. Born in England she was the only daughter of the late John and Martha Sykes and lived in the Glen for about twenty years where the knitting mill was run by Glen Textiles Ltd. She spent the last forty years in Toronto and leaves three daughters Mrs Clarence Armstrong Winnipeg Mrs Lora Graham and Mrs Olga Horne Toronto. A brother Alfred Sykes predeceased her. Funeral was held from her home Tuesday afternoon with pallbearers Tom and Frank Sykes Georgetown Croy Kennedy and William Horne Toronto. Interment Glen Williams Cemetery.

A Legion Branch 120 parade and service honored district men from two World Wars and departed members. The procession, led by SQMS Henry Shepherd, traveled from the Legion Hall to the cenotaph and Greenwood Cemetery with the Ladies Auxiliary, Mayor Joseph Gibbons, Dr. Norman Hill, and the Lorne Scots band. Wreaths were laid by David Bowman, Charles Parton, Mrs Parton, and Dr Hill. Archdeacon W G O Paon directed the cemetery service and the Roll of Honour was read by David Bowman and Fred McCartney as fifty wreaths were placed.
