Rotary Harness Races Draw Crowds at the Park
A crowd of over 600 attended the Rotary Club harness races at the park, the club’s first public venture. Ten races featured horses from multiple towns, with Ready Cash and Corporal Jerry winning heats in their classes and a total purse of 1100. Wives ran a refreshment stand as Cliff Chapman aided with betting.

On Sunday the Independent Order of Odd Fellows held their annual grave decoration and church parade. The event began at 9 AM with a lodge gathering then visits to cemeteries at Glen Williams Norval Hornby and Stewarttown. In the afternoon the march to Greenwood Cemetery featured the Georgetown Girls Pipe Band. ceremonies included roll calls and wreath laying.

Georgetown Lions juveniles edged Campbellville 5 to 4 after a tight game with minor errors. Ritchie and Webster formed the Georgetown battery, Herrington relieved Ritchie in the seventh, marking Georgetown second straight defeat overall.
