County Grant Funds Lorne Scots Band Amid Council Meeting
A Halton County Council delegation let by Aslayer Joseph Gibbons and Harold C McClure sought a grant for the Lorne Scots Band. The council approved a $30000 grant under the act after earlier steps to fund via concerts were rejected by the Department. The Red Cross was allotted 2500 to share among districts. Georgetown Acton Milton boards also received grants of 10000, 10000, and 6000 respectively.
