Halton Women’s Institutes Meet at St Johns Georgetown
The 48th annual Halton Women’s Institutes gathering was held at St John’s Church Georgetown with 122 delegates from 23 counties. Mrs Milton Brown Hornby was elected president and Mrs J E Ellerby Limehouse Ist vice. Rev John M Smith welcomed the group. The Men’s Teachers Federation of Halton County met at Glenwood Public School with guest speaker Mr Woodruff of Hamilton Normal School, discussing modern trends, grouping by ability, and increased practice teaching. Local ministers completed Religious Instruction training at the school. staff and pupils thank them for their support.
