United States Shriners and Rotarians plan a June Canadian tour via Canadian National Railways and steamship Prince Rupert. The Mecca Temple Pilgrimage to the 48th Imperial Council Session in San Francisco June 12 to 16 travels west through the U.S. South, ends in Seattle, then sails to Victoria Vancouver and Prince Rupert. A second Rotary district group returns via the same Canada route after attending a conference in Los Angeles. The trip highlights Canada’s tourist appeal and CN Railways route.

Acton residents learned that Jo McKinnon a young farmer who vanished two months ago is alive and well in Western Canada. A letter to Gordon began the note, explaining no foul play or swamp involvement. Police were advised but his location remains undisclosed.
The Glen defeated Beneh ere 6 to 1 in the first league lacrosse game played Saturday. Next Saturday the Glen will travel to Huttonville. The issue notes local events including parades, church services, and community notices around Glenville with multiple residents and activities.
Milton Dr and Mrs B Gollop of Georgetown visited Milton friends last Sunday. Mr W R Wheeler invested in a new motor truck for delivering bread. Dr Anderson MP who had been at Ottawa Parliament duties spent the weekend at his home. John ODonnell signal man at the railway diamond had a stroke and died at home on Monday. Remains were taken to Alliston for interment. Survived by widow two married daughters in Toronto and one at home. Reformer.
