Ernest Scott Thompson a 67 year old Georgetown businessman and longtime sports figure died July 1 at Guelph General Hospital. He managed Georgetown hockey from 1937 to 1948 and was a prominent farmer dairyman and club member. He leaves wife Margaret Louise Graham three children and three grandchildren and is mourned by local pastors and friends. He farmed in Narval district after moving from Toronto in 1918 and once owned Maple Leaf Dairy until 1959. He was a life member of North Halton Curling Club and member of Credit Mason lodge Hallo Chapter. Funeral at Harold C McClure Funeral Home with pallbearers and burial in Greenwood Cemetery Georgetown.
