Campbellville tied the score in the ninth and again in extra innings, edging Georgetown 10 to 9 after a long game of errors and timely hits. Don Hall and Chisholm starred for Campbellville while Hay and Ford sparked Georgetown’s late rally, with Burlington awaiting in a sudden death Halton County showdown.
The council moved to empower the Parking Authority by turning over the Parking Reserve fund and the lease from J. J Gibbons to the town. All parking liabilities will be assumed by the Authority. The mayor noted a $2500 recoverable amount in the budget from meters.
Georgetown trails Brampton and seeks Orangeville in a series swim meet at the Georgetown Community Pool. The second of six meets starts tonight at 7 30 with the aqua rivalry continuing this season.
