Clergy from Halton Deanery of the Church of England gathered in Palermo on Monday. Holy Communion was held at Bronte's Epiphany Church at 12.60 am with Rural Dean Thompson and Rector Rigby, who preached. The Deanery Chapter met at Palermo Rectory with Mrs. Rigby hosting dinner. Canon Russell welcomed the new Milton rector, Henn Kirk, and the session adjourned at 4:30 pm.

Former Georgetown Man Dies in Milton
David L Bommenile, a former Georgetown resident, died suddenly of a heart attack on Saturday January 17 at the home of his brother in law Thomas Cox of Milton. He had lived in Milton for decades and was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two daughters Mrs He Fo Whittaker of Edmonton Alberta and Miss Dasena Bommerville of Frederick Maryland and one sister Mrs RR Nutra of Toronto. Funeral held Tuesday January 20 from Mr Con residence with Rev John Rid Goch opciated. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery Georgetown.

Former Brampton Mayor McCulloch Dies at 56
Ernest Weir McCulloch long Brampton resident and former mayor died after a heart attack at his home last Friday aged 56. He served on council from 1930, was deputy reeve, reeve, mayor for two terms, Warden of Peel County in 1933, and chaired the Brampton Hydro Commission. Survived by widow Violet Fulton McCulloch daughter Margaret and two brothers Frank and Wilbert. Funeral at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Monday with tribute from Rev Neil Miller.
