Ryerson Student Wins Golden Chair Award at Royal York
Brenda Bell, a second year student at Ryerson Institute of Technology in Toronto, topped her class last year and received a $100 prize at a dinner held Tuesday in the roof garden of the Royal York Hotel. The Golden Chair award dinner is presented by the Furniture Travellers' Association. Brenda is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Leonard Bell of 53 Charles Street.

New Christian Reformed Church to Welcome New Minister
The Christian Reformed Church will have a new minister this month as Rev J Jose arrives from Dresden at the call of the local congregation. He will preach his first sermon on Sunday January 27 at 9 30 a.m. A reception will follow in Knox Church hall. The Jose family of six moves into the church home at 68 Main St as the town awaits the arrival of Rev Losv Teerhach from Grimsby who will assist until then.
