Principal Turner resigns Georgetown High School post
Georgetown High School board accepted the resignation of Principal Donald F. Turner effective June 20, 1968. Turner, who joined from RH King Collegiate in Scarborough in 1965, previously served as vice principal at Agincourt Collegiate and taught at Danforth Technical Institute. He succeeded Leonard Lambert, now principal at Stiling High School, as the school endeavors to appoint an advisory voice and address field and library plans.

Brampton plant posts 477 day safety record

Garageman Killed Helping Stranded Couple on Highway 401
A 21 year old service station attendant Douglas Lawrence Anderson of Cedar Street Galt died Monday night after he stepped from his car to flag down a passing truck to assist a stranded couple on Highway 401 near Miltons Hirshway 25 interchange. His father said Anderson turned his car around to help the couple and was struck by a truck driven by George Cuthbert of Ingersoll. The tragedy occurred as Anderson tried to shield others from danger and ended his life in a selfless act on the snowy highway.
