Friends report Mr neene Setece J l of Bracebridge recovering from pneumonia while Master Hilly Austin, son of Mr and Mrs J B Austin, is convalescing after an appendectomy at St Johns Hospital Toronto. The Janice Women's Institute met at the school community room where Jessie McKinnay was elected president and a full slate of officers and managers was announced.
Bertram Conover of Trafalgar had a serious accident falling on icy blanks he was unloading and broke several ribs. Sheriff Webster, ill recently, was seen at the county buildings handling duties. friends wish him well. In Toronto, two Milton rinks opened play with Peacock beating a Toronto rink 13 to 7 and Dick defeating a Detroit rink 11 to 10. both local outfits then lost in the first round. Milton brick yards report good winter activity and anticipate a spring rush for building material as contracts are let and demand grows.
Vacationists flock to the Highlands of Ontario for winter sports. Tourists enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, and skating in cozy lodges. Descriptive material and lodge reservations available through Canadian National Railway offices.
The Leper Mission plans its annual meeting in the Presbyterian Church Schoolroom Friday afternoon in March at S o'clock. Rev. H. N. Konkle will give an illustrated address on the Mission of Lepers. All are welcome. A notice of a man named Bold is included among the departed.
