John Armstrong Willoughby, longtime Toronto real estate broker and founder of the Willoughby and Sons firm, died Saturday. native of Caledon, he built a large farm, residential, commercial portfolio starting in Georgetown and later in the city. He helped found Georgetown Coated Paper Mills and was past president of the Toronto Estate Board. He leaves a widow Florence and several children. Funeral held at Grace Church on the Hill with interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Milkman Injured In Collision On Guelph Street
Milk route salesman Lawrence Lalonde 19 Guelph St suffered a badly bruised back when his Steen's Dairy milk truck was struck by a westbound car on Guelph St early Saturday. Police estimated $400 damage to each vehicle. The 6:15 am crash sent crates lurching forward injuring Lalonde who was aloft in the truck.

Resident tips help police in Brampton burglary case
Georgetown police arrested two Brampton men ages 22 and 25 after a resident phoned 11:30 p.m. to report loitering near Canadian Tire at Water and Guelph. Officers found attempted entry at the store and later linked the case to a break in at Sleens Dairy with 125 dollars in cigarettes and confectionery stolen. The suspects appeared in court yesterday.

Georgetown Annexation Bid Rejected by Ontario Municipal Board

Dedicate New Organ at First Baptist Church
A Baldwin organ was dedicated Sunday morning at First Baptist Church, funded by Narber Piano & Organ Co. and set as a memorial to James Blair, Ed Holmes, and Ernest Thompson. Rev. Lloyd Whan led the dedication, and Rev. W. J. Baxter spoke in the evening guest preaching. The St Paul’s choir, directed by Mrs. O.
