Rotary Club Plans Easter Seal Dinner and Harness Meet
The Rotary Club held a dinner at Fairview Inn with minimal business as officers for next year were discussed. They set Easter Seal dinner for three weeks after the meeting and June 22 for the 1957 harness meet sponsored by Rotarians. The anniversary dinner is slated for March 4 and Walter DeGeer of Bowmanville will attend as District Governor. Minstrel show rehearsals progress though dates for the arena race room show may shift after the next meeting.

Mrs. J B Ritchie a Georgetown resident since 1918 died at 74 leaving a family of 12 including 27 others. Funeral conducted by Rev Alex Calder at Knox Church with services in Greenwood Georgetown. W H McCullough Dies On 82nd Birthday
William Henry McCullough a Norval resident died suddenly at his home on his 82nd birthday. A former farmer and Jersey cattle breeder, he lived in Nassagaweya and Esquesing before returning to Nassagaweya. Survived by his wife and nine children, 28 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two sisters, with funeral held at Norval Presbyterian Church and interment at Greenwood Cemetery Georgetown.
