Fr. R. Watson and D. D. B. Georgetown announce office hours from morning until 5 except afternoons. Heath and O.0.8 Central Office in Lane Block advertise business hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. one door from O Neill's Carriage Factory.
The County Orange Lodge of Halton meets in Milton on Feb 1 1922 with large attendance from every lodge in the county. Officers elected include C M Jan McDowell Hornby D O M H Bowers Acton and others. A petition to the Ontario legislature opposes dividing school taxes between Public and Separate Schools and protests changes to the School Assessment Act.

The Local Council of Women will meet in the Merchants Bank rest room on Tuesday Feb 21 at 5pm. Miss Applebe will discuss Mothers’ Allowance. A deputation from the National Council of Women met Attorney General Raney. Georgetown Council President Miss Dayfoot attended. They urged juror eligibility for women, co guardianship rights, shared wage rights, a Domestic Relations Court, and raising Juvenile Court age.
Stewarttown school monthly report for January lists top scorers in Sr IV, Sr II and Jr III levels, with names such as Roag Thompson Reggie Eunan and Margaret Giffen. Absentees include Jim Corner and several pupils. perfect attendance honors go to Percy Baily Reggie Lunan and others. Teacher credited is F. Mac D. Peden.
Ashgrove U F and UF W members met at Mr and Mrs E Hoffman home on Friday evening February 8. The event featured a masquerade with attendees in costumes. Recitations and speeches were given, progressive games entertained sixty guests. Edna Wilson won a first prize center piece and Gordon Graham won a tie. Remaining prizes included two bottles of ketchup. Guests departed in the early morning after a highly enjoyable evening.
Jas Milloy reeve of Erin Township is appointed as Wellington County Warden and to head county council. Erin Township notes honor as his leadership expands to county level. David Fielding lifelong Elton Township settler dies at W H Fielding residence in Dixie on February 8 in his 80th year. He farmed with his father Henry Fielding and leaves two sons Russell and W H Fielding and sister Mary Ann McConnell. He was predeceased by wife Mary H Swales and daughters Lillias Annie.
Acton Mr F A Williamson and Mr and Mrs K Noram visited Mr David Williamson on Guelph street over Buddy as waterworks connection with the G T B water tank was completed that week and the town is now supplying the tank by metre. RB Sinclair, confined to the house for months due to a knee injury, is progressing toward recovery. J P Sparrow bruised the fourth finger of his left hand at the tannery on Monday.
The Department of Highways warns motorists the grace period for using 1922 motor licenses has ended. After Tuesday, any driver proceeding without a valid plate may be summoned to court to explain the default.
The 1921 Georgetown fire chief reports no major losses, urges caution with matches and ashes, notes a large ash pile incident, and praises town support for a new truck and hose. He calls for a proper town wide fire alarm system and lists recent fires and donations aiding equipment upgrades.
