Blood Donor Clinic in Georgetown Draws 185 Volunteers
The eleventh Red Cross Mobile Blood Donor Clinic in Georgetown held in Legion Hall on Wednesday morning February 7th attracted 185 volunteers with 114 donating. Supervisor Miss Ainslie led the event, assisted by Miss Hamilton and nurse-in-charge Mrs. Campbell. This clinic added 26 new donors and confirmed continued local support amid urgent plasma needs. The list of volunteers included W. Nelson, J. W. Armstrong, Ruth Evans, K. Milton, Mrs. Roe, and Liberal MP for Halton, among others, with the next clinic planned in about ten weeks.

Well Known Esquesing Farmer Dies After Illness
Benjamin Harrop a longtime Esquesing Township farmer died Friday at Milton Hospital at age 78 after a three week illness. He farmed Lot 6 Concession 10 Esquesing and was noted for interest in horses. Survived by seven children and several siblings, funeral at McClure's Brampton chapel on Monday. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery Norval.

Dr. Thomas H. Wylie Dies in Toronto After Charitable Bowing Life
Dr. Thomas H. Wylie, known in the district, died at his Toronto home on February 1. Born in Esquesing, he taught, studied at Royal Colonial Dental College, and practiced in Chatham, Toronto, and Acton. An avid lawn bowler and club member, he toured the British Isles in 1913 with Canadian bowlers. Survived by daughter Kathleen, sons Thomas and Frederick, sister Mrs Isabella Stull, and brother Andrew Wrile. widow Kate McFayden predeceased him.

Strathaven Supreme Comrade owned by W S Hall of Oakville was named Reserve All-Canadian three year old Holstein in the 1944 All-Canadian Contest. He won first prize three year old and Reserve Grand Champion at the Regional Championship Show last fall at Oakville. He received Honourable Mention for All-Canadian in 1942 and 1943.
