Miss Christina Margaret Moffat 35 of Esquesing parish died Thursday after a six week illness of a severe cold that turned to pneumonia. She was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Moffat and survived by her parents, three brothers and a sister. She belonged to Knox Church and Bannockburn Women's Institute. Funeral was held at 2 pm Thursday, Rev. A C Stewart presiding, with burial in Fairview Cemetery Acton.
At the annual meeting of Acton Fall Fair officers were elected for 1027 led by President Josn H. Smith. Directors include J. R. Kennedy W. Kenney C. Woodhall R. v. J. Ram shaw and others. The auditors report shows a net surplus of $300.43 for 1026. The 1927 fair is set for September 20 and 21.
