A. C. Weik reports Cana dian War Services Campaign in the Georgetown district surpassed its 2500 goal by over 700. The spring effort, a joint national appeal by Salvation Army YMCA YWCA Canadian Legion War Services Kom Co and LO DE Western provinces, aimed for 5500 006 with Alex Maclaren as chair Fred McCartney vice chair Harold McClure secretary and A C Welk treasurer. Final returns show 3263 28 cash received of 3311 28 pledged with 48 unpledged.

War Victims Fund Reaches 2534 12 at Year End
As 1941 ends the Herald War Victims Fund, started ten months earlier, totals 2534.12 dollars. A recent 6.30 donation from Mrs. Saunders came from a house coat raffle. Mrs. Goodlet won the coat and re-raffled it for more aid. A cradle and doll raffle by Mrs. Preston added 260 dollars, with sister Mrs. Tom McDonald of Barrie donating one cradle and one doll. winner details include Eric Warnes and Mrs. A. Grace.
