The Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital welcomed a Christmas Day baby to Mr and Mrs Andy St Laurent of Norton Creek. The infant weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and arrived at 8 30 p m. 12 minutes after Madeline St Laurent was admitted to Dr C A Thompson. The child joins siblings Michael 3 Patrick 2 and Jacqueline 1. Mr. and Mrs. Slater of 17 Morris Street entertain friends at the Riviere Norval to mark their silver wedding anniversary on New Year’s Day. The Slaters wed in Hexham-on-Tyne England on January 1 1684 and came to Canada in 1662. They have a daughter Mrs Jeck Armstrong town resident and two grandchildren Sherri Lee and David, 10 months. They previously lived in London before moving to town.
