Bill Ritchie Returns From Three Years Overseas
Bill Ritchie of the Army Service Corps comes home after three years overseas in Sicily and Italy. He arrived at 8 o clock Sunday morning to be with his wife and parents, recounting time served with fellow Georgetown men and his partner Tony Stapleton. He enlisted with the ACE in June 1940, trained at Petawawa Peterboro and the Hamilton Trades School before sailing overseas. Prior to enlistment he worked for the Georgetown Hydro Power Commission.

The Lorne Scots held a reunion in an Adriatic front town as the dispersed regiment regrouped for the first time in months of Italian campaigning. Major Stewart Beatty led defense roles for corps headquarters and brigade units, with a church service, a march past graced by the Corps Commander, and a CWAC show appearance. The Seaforth Highlanders of Canada pipe band played the march past.
