At the November meeting Wardens Nelson Lindsay Peel and Thomas A Binkelock Halton Mexara W J Beatty Brampton and Edward Agnew Milton reviewed the housing problem for the Peel Halton Home for the Aged. They proposed fitting the third storey as wards or building new quarters for the superintendent and matron. Action on expansion is feared to be delayed until 1929 amid costs. In 1918 the home cared for 38 patients costing 8144.87 with 31 067 in other expenses last year 85 inmates. A furnace blower failed during the period and coal costs rose.
