Nine men and eight women with twenty five years at Georgetown Provincial Paper Mill became new members of the Quarter Century Club at a banquet in the Legion Hall. Three new members were elected to office, with Bradley as vicepresident, Bob Hardman secretary, and Del Wallace treasurer. Special guests included George Shaw and Mrs. Shaw, John Buss and Mrs. Buss, while retiring president Ivan Craftree presided. Car Stolen, Police Locate it Next Day
A car stolen from a Georgetown parking lot Tuesday night was recovered the next morning by Georgetown police. The bronze and cream Fan owned by John William Long was taken from the Exchange Hotel area between 11.20 Tuesday night and 12.30 Wednesday morning. Constable Dan Martin found the car abandoned on McNabb Street hours later.

Twenty floats and five bands including the Girls Pipa Band and Citizens Band join Milton majorette acts as Georgetown Lions Club stages a Saturday parade December 12 at 1 30 p m starting Delrex Plaza and marching to downtown with Santa handing out candy near the Legion Hall. Rural Deer Crashes Mark Monday Highway Wrecks
Two deer crashes on Monday clogged No. 7 Highway near Esquesing and Orllock with minor to moderate damage. Gordon Schrieber of Georgetown and Donald Hall of Erin each collided with a deer. Hall’s 1087 Ford sustained $180 damage while Schrieber’s car had light damage. OPP constables Wright and Hatch investigated.
