Fire at Gordon Home in Milton Causes Major Damage
About one o'clock Thursday morning a fire broke out on the east side of the Gordon Home in Milton. Firemen fought flames that spread through partitions and under flooring for about an hour and a half. Damage estimated at 2500, insured. furniture evacuated with little damage. Eleven children were moved to James Poddie's house and then billeted with neighbors, all behavior noted as remarkable.
