Council suspends two works staff after marathon meeting
Georgetown council suspended works superintendent Geoffrey Bligh and town Norseman George Rowe after a tense meeting. Canadian wins world accordion title in Prague
Miss Toni Reed of Sudbury won the world accordion championship in Prague with 89 of 100 points. The Canada first marks the victory among 28 contestants who traveled to Europe. Reed was accompanied by her mother and has a Winnipeg concert planned for early September. She previously performed at Carnegie Hall and teaches 85 pupils in Sudbury.
