Toronto Collegiate Teacher Weds at Erindale Ceremony

Mrs Cecil G. Sanderson of Hamilton married William James Cohoon of Limehouse in a Toronto ceremony officiated by Canon G. F. Banks. The bride wore an empire waist gown with pearl detailing and a lace veil. The reception followed at Kilarmey Country Club, and the couple plan to reside in Toronto after a honeymoon to Richmond Virginia.

Car Collision Damages Exceed 300 Dollars on Maple Ave

An eastbound car crashed into a stationary vehicle at Maple Ave East and Mountainview Rd causing over 300 dollars in damage. Mrs Ruth Adams drove the first car a 1956 Ford and Cyril Engleby owned a 1947 Chevrolet. Engleby’s car sustained 75 dollar damage to rear bedy and fender while Adams’ car suffered 250 dollar damage to grill fenders and headlight.

A Herald report said a new Anglican parish might form from St George's Church and Glen Williams and Stewarttown but no final decision has been made. The matter remains in discussion with Bishop Bagnall and church officials.

Station Agent Called West as Mother Dies in Grenfell

John Elliott, 48 Hewson Crescent, CNR station agent, was called west after his mother Mrs. Charles Elliott died in Grenfell Saskatchewan on Friday. A London native, she had lived in Grenfell for 35 years and also spent three months there last year visiting her son. Surviving are her husband and five sons including Charles, Bob, Ernest, Arthur, and John.

Lions Club Drops Hallowe'en Masquerade Dance

The Lions Club will not hold its public Hallowe'en masquerade this year. Rising costs of operation prompted the shift to a private season party. The event previously generated a small profit for charitable work, but organizers judged the public risk not worth the planning. Announcements invite other groups to take over the event if desired.

Funeral Service Tuesday For Mrs James McBride

Funeral services for Mrs James McBride who died after illness at age fifty eight will be held Tuesday at the Harold C McClure Funeral Home Georgetown. The widow of James McBride she leaves a daughter Ruth and two brothers Gordon and Isaac Hunter. Interment is in Glen Williams Cemetery.

Pro's 33 Score Is New Golf Club Record

North Halton Golf Club pro Russ Kelly set a nine hole club record with a 33 while playing in a foursome with Ken Nash and Jack Malcolm. He followed with a 37 for an 18 hole total of 70, believed to be a club record. The round included four birdies, four pars and one over par.

Brisbois Family Injured In Norval Head On Crash

Serious injuries for the Brisbois family after a head on collision near Norval. Mr Brisbois suffered a broken elbow and deep head cut while Mrs Brisbois endured chest injuries a broken arm and a fractured pelvis. Their 15 month old son Robert sustained a broken leg and skull fracture. The three other children were treated and released. Dave Huson of Woodbridge the other driver was hospitalized for facial surgery. Huson was to marry Carol Anne Murray this Saturday.
