The Ashgrove Women's Institute meeting on April 16 opened with the president presiding. Members answered roll call by grandmother's maiden name and visitors from Mountain Union attended. Miss Wise spoke on coaching juniors in school lunches house furnishings and dressing. Mrs Cartright recalled thirty years of institute work. Mrs Giffen and Mrs Ruddell gave talks and Miss Lulu Graham performed a piano piece Romance. The program closed with the National Anthem and a light lunch.
