Arrangements have been made for 2500 Halton county school children to view the King and Queen in Toronto at the Exhibition Grounds in May. Seatings are reserved in front of the grandstand with space for 500 returned men. Transportation is undecided but costs will be borne by municipalities. Georgetown Young People Win Banner at Musical Contest
The finals of the Musical Contest of the Young People's Union of Halton Presbytery were held at the United Church in Lowville. Georgetown Youths won first in boys and mixed choruses and a Lady's solo, second in girls' chorus and men's solo, earning the banner for a third year. Soloists were Mrs. Howard Wrigglesworth and Stewart Maclaren. Carman Sutcliffe praised for choral work. The mixed chorus to repeat at the spring rally in Milton on April 24.
