Crawford Mahon of Campbellville, a Kitchener Public Schools teacher, won the Curtis Memorial Scholarship at Queen's University for all round excellence in athletics service to the summer school and academics. The award includes a monetary prize and plaque. Mahon, son of E D Mahon, graduated BA last fall and began summer school work in 1932 after joining the Kitchener staff. He earlier attended Milton High School and Hamilton Normal School.

He urged Masons to join officers in steering Canadian youth away from crime and warned that without action the inmates of penitentiaries may include today’s kindergarteners in ten years.
