George E Wurie Passes After Prolonged Illness
George E Wurie died in his 68th year on Tuesday after a five month illness. He farmed near Ashgrove and was a member of Ashgrove UPO and the Church of England. Funeral services were held Thursday with pallbearers including relatives and friends, and interment followed at Erin Cemetery. He leaves two sons Henry and Fred, and siblings including Rev Oscar Numar and Arthur Nume.

Milton businessman Thos Cox dies after lingering illness
Thos Cox a respected Milton merchant died Monday afternoon March 20 at his Martin Street home after a lingering illness. Born in Nassarae township eighty four years ago he farmed and ran a lumber business before moving to Milton in 1931. He served on Exsqueaing Township council and Milton town council for many years.
