Shipwrecks and Treasure Rumors Reach Cork Harbour
Dublin reports ship arrivals from Nantz and France detailing a Spanish treasure fleet, a French captain’s voyage, and a warning about the fleet’s return. Queen Caroline’s birthday is celebrated with bells, an ode, and the Recruiting Officer play at the Castle entertainments.
