He maintained a e news service for a number of years c here and ended his newspaper career g as editor of the Washington Tribune i from 1939 to 1941. pHe was bom in Petersburg, Va., E and moved to Detroit with his family at an early age. His first news- E paper experience was with the N Daily Post in Detroit, where he J worked for a number of years. V He held several State Jobs in o Michigan and then came here at the E turn of the century.At one time Mr. Pelham worked b at the Census Department. He had ^ visited every Republican convention ^ since the 1880s. .He is survived by his brother. \ Benjamin Pelham, former Detroit % county official; his widow, Mrs. \ Gabrielle Pelham; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy P.
