Mrs S Cave led the supper arrangements and Mr Fawkes acted as M C. Treasurer duties were carried out by Mr J R O'Brien.
Memorial Hospital near £10,000 to date towards erecting the War Memorial Hospital. £12,804 4/6 in hand with £9,808 4/6 subscribed locally and £2,000 government grant. Estimated total cost £30,000 with government to donate half. Outgoings £204 includes land purchase beyond Miss Trengrove’s donated area.
Holde nson and Nielson, owners of Numurkah and 12 other Victoria factories, seek permission to erect a modern milk processing plant. They will expand butter capacity at the current factory and extend veterinary services to suppliers, aiding soldiers settlers and other dairying districts in the Goulburn Valley.
Mrs PD Monsbourgh honorary general secretary for Victoria addressed the Numurkali branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union. She spoke on building for a new day and condemned liquor promotion, urging education, better care for venereal disease treatment, and abolition of regulated vice. Representatives from Waughan and Shepparton attended.
