HODGE dies at 64 in Katamatite area family list given
On 7 June 1933 at the residence of his son in law W H Bartholomew 41 Sa Katamatite country man Hodge aged 64 is mourned by daughter Netta Mrs Grocock Brunswick daughter Margaret Mrs Bartholomew Bentleigh Alf Maffra Edna Mrs Olver Nauru Island Eva Mrs Womersley Nauru Island and Les Footscray. Owing to late copy the publication of several matters of general interest will be delayed to the next issue including RS A annual prize night police court reports and the Youanmite annual ball.

Rain fell across district centres from 20 to 50 points aiding germination and crusted soils. Crops sown mid-season prosper, early harvests promising, with a further eight points of rain last night.
