Sporting Club Chooses Eight Hours Day for Gathering
The Numurkah and District Sporting Club held a subdued annual meeting on Tuesday night and re elected President Mr McPherson with Ambler and Simpson as senior and junior vice presidents. Eight Hours Day March 18 was set as the sport day, prize money for the Sheffield Handicap remains £30 and the One Mile Bicycle Race prize is increased to £15. A credit balance of £20 16/6 was reported. officers and committee were re appointed and a general committee formed to expand duties.
