Seasonal gardening notes from Ormond Plant Farm
In this gardening column J. W. Robinson describes fluctuating weather harming seed germination and seedling establishment. He notes lupins rotting from dampness, emphasizes warmth and light dryness for success, and advises planting out zinnia, asters, petunias and other summer annuals as better weather returns. Petunias should be cut back to encourage later flowering.
