Goodwood meeting looms as Wolard shines at Randwick
At Randwick Wolard clinched his ninth win with a charge through the straight to beat Cetigne and Wotard in a thrilling finish. Desert Gold, hampered by a rare defeat, failed to place in a major event, the race ending with Cetigne taking the lead on the rails as the crowd roared. The mile and a quarter time of 2.4 set a new Australasia record.
