Meckering Road Board meeting debates rate hikes and road work
The Meckering Road Board met at Cunderdin to discuss rescinding a proposed road through Cooling property. Members considered a two pence half penny rate on rural lands and one shilling on town property to fund road repairs, with additional penny and shilling increases for farming and town lands. Various works and graveling projects were approved or assigned to the works supervisor. Several road retravelling and clearing actions were authorized, alongside a rock between Meckering and Wael project and other local improvements.
