Peace Celebrations at Wongan Hills Mark War Anniversary
July 22 witnesses peaceful celebrations in Wongan Hills with a procession led by M Harridge on horseback and a returned soldier Ralston carrying an Australian flag. The march ended at the Agricultural Hall for the national anthem, speeches, medal presentations, and a large sports program with prizes and a evening dance. An Empire Church service the following morning featured Rev. Sullivan of Goomalling and a patriotic collection.
