Missionary Women Aim to Send Ten to India and Madagascar
The Bristol and Clifton Congregational Ladies form a United Missionary Working Society to recruit ten or twelve women aged twenty one to twenty eight for five years of service. They hope medical and spiritual work, with couples living with missionaries. Critics warn of women living alone in India, but women would pair up in missionary houses.
