Disestablishment in Scotland urged by London committee
The Executive Committee in London directs Scottish operations. A Glasgow conference on May 17 unanimously approved a new sixty-member council led by secretary James Tait. The piece argues disestablishment is overdue, outlines the Kirk's impositions, and urges Liberal voters to act to end state church privileges.
