Letters from Fiji praise Sir A Gordon’s rule of the islands and his fair treatment of aborigines. Rev Dyke, a Basuto missionary for twenty years, says the tribe was saved from political ruin by the society’s work, bringing them to Christ and sending missionaries elsewhere. A Barbadian delegate defended Barbadian planters before the meeting closed with thanks to the chair.
