YMCA 34th Anniversary Meeting Reports Growth in Membership
The thirty fourth anniversary meeting at Exeter Hall chaired by the Earl of Shaftesbury heard that active or missionary members rose by 189 this year. An estimated 1,600 young men were brought under regular influence, with Bible classes expanding to seventeen in large city warehouses. The weekly Biblical training classes under Green and Calthrop continued, and Wainwrights study of Christian evidence drew large attendance as discussions covered modern criticism. No change occurred.
