Twenty-Fifth Annual Report of Emperor Life Assurance Society

The Emperor Life Assurance Society held its annual meeting at the City Terminus Hotel London. The report shows higher Premium income and Capital and Assurance Fund despite low commerce. 361 life proposals were received 301 policies issued with premiums £3722 15s 10d and total issued since start 16921 for £1,655,730. Claims 119 paid £10,471 1s 7d. total claims with bonuses £105,914 1s. 7d. The year’s income rose to £1,211 and £2,392 added to Funds. Directors propose 5% dividend. Continuity of agency expansion urged and next valuation set for March 31 1880.
