Endowed School Schemes Debate In Lords
In the Lords on Friday a Bishop urged withholding assent from the Endowed School Commissioners plan for Denbigh and denbighshire schools. Lords argued the scheme shifts from church control, with supporters insisting it preserves merit-based awards and addresses Welsh dissent. The motion failed 68 to 46.
